I graduated with an elementary education and psychology degree from Houghton College.  It is in upstate New York, where I grew up. In 1975, I moved to New Jersey to teach third grade at what was then Vineland Christian School (CCS).  After two years, I moved to first grade, and have been there ever since (except for taking time off when I had my children).

I love teaching first grade!  It is such a fast-paced, exciting place!  We learn SO much in Bible, Reading, Math, and Writing.  We change activities often, and move around a lot.  First graders are so excited about life and learning!  They are curious about many things and always asking questions!

I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know my students.
